Sally joined Wells Fargo in 2012 and has over 25 years of banking experience in the debt capital markets, primarily in the higher education and healthcare sectors. As Head of Strategy, Sally is responsible for developing, communicating, and executing department-wide initiatives, sourcing and evaluating new product ideas, managing existing and new technologies, and working across numerous functional areas in and beyond the Municipal Products Group and Public Finance Department. A detailed understanding of regulatory requirements, capital usage, and internal policies are important aspects of the role. As Head of the Municipal Capital Markets Group, Sally is charged with providing the Public Finance Department up-to-date market ideas and innovative, client-centric financing strategies, as well as quantitative support and training. The Municipal Capital Market Group strives to uncover current market opportunities and develop forward thinking strategies.
Prior to her current role, Sally managed Wells Fargo’s Higher Education and Nonprofit Group. In that role, Sally oversaw a group of 15+ bankers as they advised on mergers & acquisitions and Private Public Partnerships, structured and executed tax-exempt and taxable bond financings, and engaged in interest rate hedging transactions, among other services. Sally continues to serve as lead banker to some of the Wells Fargo’s larger higher education clients, including the University of Texas System, the University of California, Washington University, Northwestern University, and New York University, among others. Sally’s nonprofit experience includes structuring capital markets transactions for a diverse portfolio of entities such as The Ford Foundation, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the American Museum of Natural History, and The Whitney Museum of American Art.
Before joining Wells Fargo, Sally served in various capacities at during her 18 years at Morgan Stanley including as Chief Operating Officer in Asia, as an officer in corporate debt capital markets, and as Co-Head of Morgan Stanley’s Higher Education Group.
Sally maintains a California C.P.A. and Series 7, 24, 53, and 63 securities licenses.
Sally earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an M.B.A. from New York University. Sally serves as Chair of the Board of Governors of Fairfield College Preparatory School, Secretary of the Board of Directors of Lucas Point Association, and on the Board of Trustees of University of California, Merced Foundation. She resides in Old Greenwich, CT with her husband and their four children.
