Michael has over 11 years of private equity and investment banking experience. Prior to joining Whitehorse Liquidity Partners, Michael worked for 5 years in the direct private equity programs at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan - Teachers’ Private Capital (“OTPP”) and OMERS Private Equity (“OMERS”) where he was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing direct private equity investments in North America and Europe. During his time at OTPP and OMERS, Michael was involved in the acquisition of several major platform investments, successful exits and recapitalizations. In addition to his transactional experience Michael has participated on the board of several portfolio companies and provided strategic and operational oversight to a number of OMERS and OTPP’s investments.

Prior to his time at OMERS and OTPP, Michael was part of the investment banking group at CIBC World Markets where he was involved in over 30 successful mandates totaling over $15Bn including: mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings and restructuring mandates across a broad range of sectors. Michael holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
