Ryan joined the Office of the Indiana Treasurer of State as General Counsel and as the Executive Director for the Board for Depositories in July of 2017. Sworn in as a Deputy Treasurer in 2018, he oversees and provides legal support for both the day-to-day operations of the Treasurer’s Office and all the entities, programs, boards, and special projects within the Treasurer’s scope. Prior to joining the Treasurer’s Office, Ryan was legal counsel to the Indiana State Police where he focused on privacy, pensions, procurement, and marijuana.

He was born and raised in Carmel, Indiana and attended high school at Brebeuf Jesuit in Indianapolis. He earned his B.A. from IUPUI and his J.D. magna cum laude from Valparaiso University Law School. Ryan likes all the stuff that regular people like and spends his time doing those things with his wife, Elise, and their two chihuahuas, Big Willy Style and Daphne.
