Ashley Nabors is the Assistant Treasurer for Financial Empowerment with the Tennessee Department of Treasury. Ashley leads the Department’s initiatives to educate and support the financial lives of Tennesseans through programs under Financial Empowerment including RetireReadyTN, the TNStars College Savings 529 Program, ABLE TN, the Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission, and the State of Tennessee Length of Service Award Program for Volunteers.
Prior to her appointment as Assistant Treasurer in 2019, Ashley served as Senior Director for Financial Empowerment and Staff Assistant to the Treasurer. In these roles, she supported significant retirement policy initiatives, oversaw the implementation and launch of one of the nation’s first 529A programs, and increased collaboration and coordination among Treasury’s customer-focused programs.
A native Tennessean, Ashley attended Tennessee Tech University, where she earned her B.S. in Business Administration as an accounting major and an MBA with a concentration in Finance.
