James Walsh is the Head of Portfolio Group and Partner at Albourne America LLC.  He joined in 2012 and is based in San Francisco. James joined Albourne from Cayuga Capital Partners LLP, where he was CEO and Chief Investment Officer. Prior to this, from 2006 to 2010, James was Chief Investment Officer at Cornell University and from 1995 to 2006 at Hermes Pension Management where he was latterly Executive Director and Head of Strategy and Alternatives (2001-2006). Previously, James has held roles at The Economist Intelligence Unit (part of the Economist Group), and the Confederation of British Industry. James holds a Masters in Economics from the University of London and a Bachelors in Economics from Brunel University. He is a CAIA Charter holder and member of the CFA Institute.
