Swee Lin Wong has worked in human resources and management in the public sector, at both the municipal and state level for more than 25 years. As the Chief of Human Resources for the Office of State Treasurer and Receiver General, Swee Lin oversees the full scope of Human Resources. As the HR strategic leader, she is responsible for planning, designing, developing and evaluating human resource-related initiatives that support the Treasury’s organizational strategic goals and operating priorities. Prior to this, as the Secretariat Director of Human Resources at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Swee Lin was responsible for driving the Secretariat’s strategic HR agenda and for the administration of all human resources and benefits programs for the 4500+ employees within MassDOT and its subdivisions. Swee Lin was a recipient of the Commonwealth’s Eugene H. Rooney, Jr. Public Service Award for her accomplishments and innovation in Human Resources. This is among the highest of public service awards presented by the Governor.
Swee Lin also worked at the Commonwealth Human Resources Division in various capacities including: Director of Policy, Policy Developer, and Deputy Director of Workforce Management; and at the Boston School Department as a Human Resources Manager.
Swee Lin earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Boston College and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Massachusetts.
